How to find us
Silverpine Lodge is a remote and beautiful location, amongst the wild mountains of New Zealand’s South Island lakes district.
The closest towns are Makarora (small rest stop), Hawea (pub, cafe, and fuel available), and Wanaka (regional town with supermarket and usual amenities).
Google maps calls the road where you will find Silverpine Lodge driveway, State Highway 6, or Makarora-Lake Hawea Rd.
- If you’re coming from Haast, you’ll come south down State Highway 6 through Makarora. Silverpine driveway is on your right a few hundred meters after you go past Meads Road (which is on your left).
- If you’re coming from the Lindis Pass, you’ll come north along State Highway 6 past Hawea. Silverpine driveway is 23.9kms along the highway once you go past the Hawea dam wall intesection (Capell Ave). The driveway to Silverpine will be on your left.
- If you’re coming from Wanaka, you will come past the Hawea dam wall intersection also, so keep driving north on State Highway 6 for 23.9kms and you will be at Silverpine driveway on your left.
The property is up a winding gravel driveway, with spectacular farmland, mountain and lake views.
